I still remember how I came to know about PMI.
It was in 2010 , I completed my engineering in may and was looking for my first job.
It was a Saturday and used to be "Focal Point" day. Where all the volunteers meet and discuss about the general issues and Dr. Peter Malakar Sir use to address all of the volunteers and encourage them to play a role in their mission.
"The Mission" to uplift the poorest of the poor and work on their education and health.
There were health camps which were organized from time to time. Apart from that, they use to bring all the children to the PMI center after the school in the evening and Volunteers use to help them with their studies.
I got so impressed with the work they were doing. I decided to help tutoring the children until I got the Job i was looking forward to. Also, I have taken part in numerous events like Blanket drives, they conduct annually in the winters. It was an amazing experience for me. Due to my job commitments, I am not a regular Volunteer now.
Wishing the team all the best in whatever PMI does and hope to see PMI grow for the betterment of the society.
