According to 2011 census there are 46,724 homeless individual in Delhi. Some survey suggests that more than one lakh homeless live within Delhi NCR. Delhi is famous for extreme climate, a strong contrast of summer and winter. Thus it is a nightmare to even imagine spending the winter nights on the streets in Delhi. Calling for the need of the hour, PMI team come up with Blanket Drive program where the team distribute blankets to homeless deprived of night shelter during winter within Delhi NCR region. Since 2007 PMI team was able to distribute approximately five- hundred (~500) blankets along with medicines (vitamins) every year. A fund for this program was generated through donations. PMI is thankful to all those who contributed generously every year and requested for more people to be involved in order to support the homeless.
